We know that meeting students where they are and holding a high academic bar are not mutually exclusive—we CAN do both and our mission compels us to do so. This is why our special services program is so important; our mission and responsibility is to serve and support all scholars who walk through our doors. Our work supports schools to effectively serve scholars with special needs which is inherent in our mission to close the achievement gap.
