Achievement First Achievement First

3 states. 41 schools.
1 strong team.

Achievement First operates a network of 41 public charter schools in New Haven, Bridgeport and Hartford, CT, Brooklyn, NY, and Providence, Rhode Island. In the 2021-22 academic year, we served 15,000 students in grades kindergarten to 12. In our schools, you’ll find some of the best teaching and learning in the country.

Every day, our students are solving for x and shattering stereotypes, winning debate tournaments and football games and shining as first-generation college students. They are constantly learning and improving and so are we. We are strong but not satisfied, and we won’t stop until all children have access to the high-quality education they need and deserve.

  • In New York

Every AF school’s eighth-grade class performed in the top 3% of New York schools in math, outperforming wealthy communities including Scarsdale and Larchmont.

  • In Rhode Island
