We were honored to kick off our AF25 Summit with keynote speaker Misty Copeland, groundbreaking ballet dancer and a true icon of resilience, brilliance, and possibility. Her powerful story and words deeply moved us, reminding us of what’s possible when we believe in ourselves, in each other, and in the young people we serve.
A special highlight of the day: our incredibly talented student dancers had the unforgettable opportunity to perform for Misty and to meet her afterward in a heartfelt and inspiring meet-and-greet! It was a moment of connection and celebration that we’ll carry with us for a long time.
Thank you, Misty, for inspiring us to dream bigger and go further together.

Our talented scholars brought The Lion King to life on stage with dazzling costumes, a beautiful set, and powerful voices.
Students from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade rehearsed since October, and performed in two incredible shows for friends and families on Thursday, June 5.
This was a true community effort. Our amazing staff designed the set and costumes, led choreography and music, and an @afeastbrooklynhigh alum even ran sound for the production!
We are SO proud of our students and deeply grateful to our educators, alumni, and families who made this joyful moment possible.

AF’s 1st Annual Dance Festival was an unforgettable night of joy, talent, and community! Ten of our New York schools recently came together for our very first Dance Showcase. The energy was electric, the performances were breathtaking, and the love and pride from the audience were palpable. A huge shout-out to our incredible dance teachers for your creativity, passion, and dedication to seeing our students shine. Congratulations to all of the student performers for an incredible show!
