Huge congratulations to our AF alumni who graduated from college this spring! From Franklin & Marshall to Stanford, from Public Health to Performing Arts, you’ve done it all, and we’re so proud of you. Thank you to our partners at @kipp_forward_nyc for partnering with us to support their journeys beyond high school. @af_alumni
The last day of school was just a few weeks ago, and we’re missing our scholars and families! We’re sending love and gratitude to our entire AF community as you enjoy your summer break, and wishing you joy, rest, and sunshine. Whether you`re reading under a tree, splashing at the pool, or catching up on rest, we hope you’re soaking it in. We can`t wait to see our staff and students when we come back for the new school year!

AF Hartford High School is where students find their passion, their power, and their purpose. We believe in their brilliance, and we make space for them to lead, to dream, and to reach their full potential.
The future starts here. Grades 9–12 in Hartford, CT.
Our #AF25 Summit brought together students, alumni, educators, staff, families, and partners from across our network to reflect on 25 years of impact and to dream boldly about what’s ahead.
We were inspired by student performances, energized by speakers like Misty Copeland and Geoffrey Canada, and moved by panels like our Alumni Full Circle Panel.
We also connected and celebrated together, from the alumni social to our staff soiree.
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. Here’s to the next 25 years of joy, community, and student brilliance!
Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S. and celebrates Black freedom, resilience, and joy. At Achievement First, we know that remembering our history is essential to building a more just future. We also know that true liberation means centering the brilliance, voices, and leadership of Black students, families, and educators every day, not just today.
