She loves learning about times when people had the odds against them, but they still fought for equality. That’s just one of the reasons she plans to become a biochemist. She’s heard that’s a “man’s job,” but she knows nothing is just a man’s job. Kerchel’s dream is to become a very successful black woman scientist, and what she’s learning today will help her get there.
