We are so excited to welcome families to our first high school in Rhode Island! Achievement First Providence High School is a public charter school located in Providence, Rhode Island. Serving students in 9th through 11th grade, we are focused on preparing students for post-high school educational opportunities and professional success in life.

    Aja Davis

    Aja Davis is the principal of Achievement First Providence High School. Aja began her teaching career in 2001 in Edmond, Oklahoma as a high school vocal music teacher. In 2004, she moved to New York City and joined the NY Teaching Fellows. After teaching for six years in the Bronx, she joined the Achievement First family and moved to Hartford, Connecticut. As a member of the Achievement First Hartford Elementary team, Aja taught music, reading, and kindergarten and served as dean of students, and academic dean. She then became principal of Achievement First Providence Mayoral Academy Elementary. Aja’s educational credentials include a bachelor’s degree in music theater, a master’s degree in elementary education, and coursework at Sacred Heart University toward her certification in educational leadership.
