The Achievement First Network Board—our vital governing body—recently added four new board members. In August, we released our Leading for Racial Equity commitments, which included a charge to expand our board to better include parent voice. We are excited that our new board members—K. Percy Ballah, Griselda Rodriguez-Solomon, Greg Belinfanti, and Anthony C. Thompson—include two Achievement First parents, a senior healthcare and business executive, and one of the most noted civil rights academics in the country (the founding faculty director of the NYU Center on Race, Inequality and the Law). Learn more about our new board members:
  • Since 2017, K. Percy Ballah has served on the AF Rhode Island Board of Directors. He is the father of two AF Iluminar Elementary students, founder of the school’s Parent Leadership Committee, and the lead pastor at Impact Center Providence.
  • Griselda Rodriguez-Solomon is an AF North Brooklyn Prep parent who recently served on the AF President search committee. She is an adjunct professor at City College, and also works as a doula and yoga instructor.
  • Greg Belinfanti is a senior managing director and a member of the Investment Committee at One Equity Partners in New York, where he has worked since 2006 specializing in the healthcare and business services industries. He is a member of several boards of directors in his field.
  • For more than 20 years, Anthony C. Thompson has been on the faculty of NYU Law School, where he teaches courses related to criminal law, civil litigation, race, and leadership. He is the founding faculty director of the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law.
