Achievement First Aspire Elementary prepares our students to achieve high academic results and to develop the skills to serve as leaders in our communities. We believe the path to college starts from the first minute of kindergarten. Therefore, our students spend more than three hours every day in reading class. Our school is a structured, joyous and rigorous place that helps build character and inspires a love of learning within each of our students. We place a high emphasis on practice and use targeted intervention programs to give students individualized attention so that they can excel in middle school, high school, college and beyond.
Sarah Kasok Iannucci is the founding principal of Achievement First Aspire Elementary. She most recently served as an academic dean and principal-in-residence at AF Endeavor Elementary, where she bolstered the school’s special services program. Ms. Iannucci began her career at Achievement First as the early elementary academic dean at AF Bushwick Elementary. In this role, she helped strengthen the school’s reading program and project planning practices. Prior to joining Achievement First, she was a site manager at The New Teacher Project and a Teach For America corps member at Arbuckle Elementary. Sarah holds a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from the University of Connecticut.
We are always eager for visitors to see firsthand the extraordinary teaching and learning taking place in our schools. Click here to learn more about visiting an Achievement First school.
