    Aja Davis

    Aja Davis is the principal of Achievement First Providence Mayoral Academy Elementary. Ms. Davis began her teaching career in 2001 in Edmond, Oklahoma as a high school vocal music teacher. In 2004, she moved to New York City and joined the NY Teaching Fellows. After teaching for six years in the Bronx, she joined the Achievement First family and moved to Hartford, Connecticut. As a member of the Achievement First Hartford Elementary team, Ms. Davis taught music, reading, and kindergarten and served as dean of students, and most recently, academic dean.

    Ms. Davis’ educational credentials include a bachelor’s degree in music theater, a master’s degree in elementary education, and coursework at Sacred Heart University toward her certification in educational leadership.
