Achievement First Promesa Mayoral Academy Elementary School is a public charter school located in Providence, Rhode Island. Serving students in kindergarten through 3rd grade, our passionate teachers guide young minds through common core curriculum and other important subjects necessary to stay ahead of the curve academically.

    Mindy Salinaz Rice

    Mindy Salinaz Rice is the founding principal of Achievement First Promesa Elementary School. Mrs. Rice began her journey in education as a 2010 Teach For America corps member at AF Hartford Academy Elementary before working at an independent all girls charter school in New York. She then served as an academic dean at Amistad Academy Elementary from 2013-15. Most recently, she served as the dean at AF Iluminar Elementary. Mrs. Rice received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Relay’s National Principal Academy Fellowship and Achievement First’s Principal-in-Residence Program. She is excited to continue her work with the Providence community and serve scholars and families at AF Promesa Elementary!
