Kate Carroll is the founding principal of North Brooklyn Prep Middle School. Before this role, Kate served in several different positions at Achievement First over the past 13 years, including senior director of the elementary instructional team, instructional coach, and fourth-grade teacher. Kate graduated from the State University of Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in music. Then, inspired by her family’s mission to help close the opportunity gap in education, Kate joined Teach for America in 2006 as a corps member and taught fifth grade for two years in the South Bronx while getting her Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University.
