Achievement First Aspire Elementary is a public charter school located in Brooklyn, NY near the Cypress Hills and New Lots neighborhoods. Serving students in kindergarten through 4th grade, we are committed to fostering a lifelong passion for learning and helping young students develop the knowledge and social skills needed to carry them through every stage of life.
Shane Ramos is the principal of Achievement First Aspire Elementary.
Mrs. Shane’ Ramos brings eleven years of dedicated experience in education to her role as Principal of Achievement First Aspire Elementary School. She began her career as a Teacher in Residence and quickly rose to Lead Teacher and Grade Level Leader before transitioning into school leadership. As Academic Dean of Upper School for two years, she drove academic excellence across grade levels, and in her third year of leadership, she also served as Dean of Special Services—ensuring scholars with exceptional needs received the tailored support and state-mandated services they deserved.
Mrs. Ramos’s commitment to excellence has been recognized through the Distinguished Teacher award within her charter school network, reflecting her deep dedication to students, families, and colleagues alike.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Africana Studies from the University at Albany and a Master of Science in Education from Long Island University Brooklyn.
Outside of school, Mrs. Ramos is a loving wife and proud mother to her two beautiful daughters. She believes deeply in the power of relationships with every stakeholder in a child’s education, and she is passionate about giving each scholar the gift of learning and a lasting love of education. As Principal, she prioritizes leader and teacher development as the engine of strong student achievement, driven by her mission to empower every student to be confident, believe in themselves, and reach their full potential.
