  D'Asia Adger

  D’Asia Adger is the Founding Principal of Achievement First Legacy Middle School. D’Asia brings a strong vision, a high bar for excellence, and a deep commitment to creating safe, engaged, and joyful learning environments for all scholars. She began her Achievement First career more than a decade ago at Achievement First Bushwick Elementary School, where she served as a teacher, dean, and principal fellow, building deep relationships with families, staff, and scholars.

  Previously the Principal of Achievement First Apollo Middle School, D’Asia has driven strong academic growth, including +10% year-over-year growth in ELA during the 2024–2025 school year and double-digit year-over-year growth on the most recent math mock assessment. She has also strengthened school culture, with increases in scholar belonging and satisfaction. Her experience across elementary and middle school, along with her strength in building lasting relationships, positions her well to lead Legacy’s expansion into middle school and create a cohesive, supportive experience for scholars and families.

  As both a school leader and an Achievement First parent, D’Asia understands firsthand the trust families place in schools each day. This perspective fuels her commitment to building strong family partnerships and ensuring every scholar feels known, challenged, and supported.
