Achievement First Iluminar Mayoral Academy Elementary School is a public charter school located in Cranston, Rhode Island. Serving students in kindergarten through 4th grade, our school is centered on cultivating a love of learning and providing students with the tools and confidence needed to succeed later in life.
Joseph Fink is excited to be the new principal of Achievement First Iluminar Elementary! Joey started his teaching career through Teach for America at Achievement First Hartford Elementary and has taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade in Hartford, Chicago, and Providence. He has been a Dean of School Culture, Academic Dean, Acting Principal, and Principal in Residence at Achievement First schools. Joey cares deeply that Iluminar is a community where all kids and family feel safe and loved and students are excited to learn. Joey received his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and his master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Joey lives in Providence with his wife and his twin son and daughter.
