Our school is near the C train (Liberty Ave.), J Train (Alabama Ave.), L Train (Sutter Ave.) and the B14, B83, and B20 buses.

Bus transportation is provided by the NYC Office of Pupil Transportation. During the enrollment process the school will share more information about the qualifications needed to receive bussing.

About Achievement First Apollo Middle School

Achievement First Apollo Middle School is a public charter school located in Brooklyn, NY within the East New York neighborhood. Serving students in 5th through 8th grade, we are focused on cultivating a love of learning and setting students up for success in high school and beyond.

    Jesse Uggla

    Jesse Uggla is the principal of Achievement First Apollo Middle School. Prior to this role, Mr. Uggla served as the founding academic dean, and later, the academic dean of math at AF Apollo. Before joining the AF Apollo team and family, he served as a founding teacher and academic dean of the humanities at AF East New York Middle School. Mr. Uggla started his career in education as an upper elementary math and science teacher in the Little Haiti community of Miami, Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree in international studies and political science from Macalester College, and he holds a master’s degree in school leadership from Harvard University.
