Transportation

Our school is near the C train (Rockaway), L train (Atlantic Ave.), A/J/Z train (Broadway Junction), and the B12, B14, B25, B45, B47, B60, B65, and B7 buses.

Bus transportation is provided to all students from .5 miles to 5 miles. Families may also utilize a paid van service or request MetroCards to be used weekdays before and after school.

About Achievement First Brownsville Middle School

Achievement First Brownsville Middle School is a public charter school located in Brooklyn, NY within the Ocean Heights neighborhood. Serving students in 5th through 8th grade, our teachers encourage students to develop a passion for learning by sharing the building blocks of success. We take pride in providing a non-profit charter school option for families throughout Brooklyn.

    Allison Laird

    Allison Laird is the principal of Achievement First Brownsville Middle School. Prior to this role, Ms. Laird served as the academic dean for English language arts and an associate dean. In addition to these roles, she was a grade level lead,  instructional coach, resident advisor, and curriculum fellows. Before becoming a school leader, she taught 7th and 8th grade writing and literature for eight years. Ms. Laird began her career in education as a 7th grade writing teacher for the school district of Dallas. She earned her bachelor’s in global studies from the University of Tennessee.
