We are committed to engaging volunteer tutors, increasing public awareness, and advocating for public policies that would support education reform and the expansion of high-quality school choices.

Amistad Academy Middle School Results

Amistad Academy Middle School is accountable to the Connecticut State Department of Education for meeting student mastery standards. Therefore, similar to traditional public schools, Amistad Academy Middle School students will take the Connecticut Mastery Test at the close of each school year.

The graph below compares Amistad Academy Middle School eighth graders, our oldest students, on the 2011 Connecticut Mastery Test to the city and state mastery levels. Our eighth graders outperformed their New Haven peers by 40 percentage points and their statewide peers by 16 percentage points.
