Calling All Rising Second-Year Teachers:
Become a Summer Teaching Resident
The Achievement First Summer Teaching Residency provides rising second-year educators with the opportunity to teach at a high-performing urban charter school in Connecticut or New York for the summer.
"My summer teaching residency experience was JUST what I needed after my first year of teaching. It was both energizing and inspiring. Working with third graders at Amistad Academy Elementary School reminded me that all of our students are capable of achieving great heights . . . that diligent planning and collaboration can drastically improve instruction . . . and that a learning community that values excellence, inquiry and rigor truly does have the potential to change students' lives. This year, I constantly draw upon the lessons and approaches that I learned at AF. I'm very grateful for the opportunity." - Brian Radley, 2010 Summer Teaching Resident
Read our Summer Teaching Residency job description here. This opportunity is for middle (5-8) and high school teachers only.
