Achievement First
Respect - Enthusiasm - Achievement - Citizenship - Hard Work March 2012

Achievement First was founded in Connecticut, home to the largest achievement gap in the country. However, our scholars in Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford are now significantly outperforming their district peers. Our Connecticut teachers and staff work hard to ensure that we close the gap for all of our scholars.

Outside of the classroom, Connecticut offers many exciting opportunities. Residents enjoy easy access to New York and Boston, as well as charming New England towns, beautiful beaches, and outdoor activities like hiking and boating.

We work hard at Achievement First to meet the needs of our students. Check out the resources below for ways to reach the learners in your classroom.

Ensure that all students are focused on the lesson with these student engagement strategies.

Target each skill level in your classroom with these resources to reach all writers.

Brainstorm how to help your students focus on their assignments using this strategy checklist.
