Meet an Achievement First Scholar!

Category: Home

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be an Achievement First scholar? We spent a Friday with Demetrius, a first-grade scholar at an AF Brooklyn elementary school.

Interview with Demetrius

What is your favorite subject?
I like to learn about math because we get to sing in Math Meeting.

What superpower do you wish you had?
I wish I could make ice with my hands so when people try to skip me in line I could freeze them. But then I would break the ice.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be like my dad. (Demetrius's father works in the school cafeteria.) You get to cook and serve food and put out milk. When the chocolate milk runs out you put out white milk and then you wipe the tables.

Which college do you want to attend?
Texas A&M!
